Providers of very large online platforms and very large online search engines should be able to be required by the Commission, the European Board for Digital Services or the Digital Services Coordinators to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of this Regulation relating to their services. Providers of such services should provide to those authorities, upon request, the necessary information, in a timely manner, to allow those authorities to verify and assess their compliance with this Regulation. Providers should also provide data necessary to allow the authorities referred to in this paragraph to assess whether they continue to qualify as very large online platforms or very large online search engines or whether they have lost such status. Providers should provide such information in machine-readable formats, in accordance with the specifications set out by the Commission or the Digital Services Coordinators, as the case may be. In the context of ascertaining compliance with this Regulation, inspections can be carried out by the Commission or by Digital Services Coordinators at the premises of the service provider.
