Providers of very large online platforms and very large online search engines should inform the Commission and the Digital Services Coordinators of the Member States of the systemic risks they have identified, in particular as regards illegal content, the protection of the fundamental rights and of the rights of the child, and inauthentic behaviour on the service. They should also inform the Commission and the Digital Services Coordinators of the measures that they intend to deploy to mitigate those risks and of the effectiveness of such measures, including on the basis of the monitoring carried out by the providers themselves. Providers should inform the Commission and the Digital Services Coordinators of significant events or significant changes in the functioning of the services that may have an impact on systemic risks, in particular in relation to amendments to systems used for content moderation and recommender systems, without prejudice to the obligation under Union law on the protection of personal data or confidentiality obligations.
