The exemptions from liability established in this Regulation should be understood to cover only liability for the information provided by the recipients of the service in respect of which the exemptions concern. Those exemptions should not affect the possibility, under the applicable law, of establishing liability with regard to the provider's own information, which it communicates or makes available in addition to the information provided by the recipients of the service. The concept of 'information provided by the recipient' should be understood to refer to the information that the recipient of the service transmitted or stored, in particular in the case of hosting services, such as audio or video files, documents, images, comments, or posts. The exemptions from liability established under this Regulation should not affect the possibility of injunctions of different kinds, such as those requiring a service provider to terminate or prevent an infringement.
